I could care less what religion this guy is.  Does the attorney think I would feel different about crime if the criminals were white christians?  If he's pulling out this card for an excuse, it seems his deck is seriously lacking.  Since they are many other people involved here, including Wasserman-Schultz, I'm actually surprised he is still alive.

The Awans are “accused of stealing equipment from members’ offices without their knowledge and committing serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network,” according to Politico. Many of the Democrats who employed the Awans are members of the House Committee on Homeland Security, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.  I don't believe this is just "a modest real estate matter"
