Imran Awan’s attorney released a statement Wednesday after his arrest on Monday….
The attorney blames Islamophobia, the ultra-right-wing and pizzagate for his client’s arrest.
The attorney goes on to say Imran and his wife were traveling to Pakistan because he was just fired.
They were both carrying $12,000 when they left the US. Imran was arrested before he could board his plane.

I could care less what religion this guy is. Does the attorney think I would feel different about crime if the criminals were white christians? If he's pulling out this card for an excuse, it seems his deck is seriously lacking. Since they are many other people involved here, including Wasserman-Schultz, I'm actually surprised he is still alive.

The Awans are “accused of stealing equipment from members’ offices without their knowledge and committing serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network,” according to Politico.
