My Dad loved this guy as many millions of Americans did. I wasn't really into him that much but there were some beautiful melancholy songs I think were his best he did after his first divorce in the late 50's is when that music came out. I knew a lady that was a personal friend of his that told me at his house near Las Vegas they kept a griddle on all day long so that when he got up out of bed he could have hot pancakes as because during the Great Depression griddle were hard to come by and pancakes were a luxury if you were starving in the big city. A tribute in my only little unnoticeable way.
