I was referring to this current material realm existence...as opposed to ones infinite spiritual existence (if it does indeed exist)

Life is NOT an illusion. It is Ultimate Reality. It's form (the physical & dualistic subtle realms that are illusion. Zzzzzzzzz...

DS - Even as a 10 year old child staring out of the classroom window, speculating on life, the universe and everything - rather than algebra, the theory that life is simply an illusion, a fabrication we have to break out of OR a test did not elude me. Hell, my dreams now make more sense that the so called 'real world'.

I understand what the 'Christ Conciousness' is meant to be, it's just that I have issues with the appelation itself.

'Christ' derives from the Greek Χριστός - 'Kristós' - 'annointed / annointed one/ to be covered in oil - and is mean to be a transliteration of the Aramaic Meshiha and Hebrew Mashiah - messiah

Messiah/saviour has typically been a singular designation applied to religous 'teachers' / 'phrophets' - is seems crude and awkward to apply it in such a way, not to mention the problem of the Abrahamic dogmatic baggage is carries with it.

I feel this is especially the case, when considering the world from a Gnostic viewpoint - I for one can see the correlations between the Abrahamic god and the demiurge.

@DTOM I think we are experiencing the world of duality, which is NOT Reality to remember who We really are. The world is a projection of Mind. It's Cause is ignorance of The Self. Our purpose in the world is to heal (Awaken from the dream). The world is a school. Clearly there are self-destructive forms of consciousness playing themselves out in this dream. But as for what is "christ" consciousness it's the experiential understanding that all is One. There is no time/space only Eternity & the seer behind every eye, every life-form IS The Christ. I Am. EveryOne is the Christ. "Christ" is not my word BTW. All I know is my own experience & I am working backwards by using that word assuming that that's what Christ really is & I think the word has been seriously misunderstood from what its true meaning is supposed to be.

Never needed to pay, never have paid, never will pay for any of my own personal 'spiritual' or 'weird' experiences...and none of them have been initiated by any drug, narcotic or stimulant or guru, priest, gatekeeper of any kind.

I adhere to no religion or dogma (well maybe Discordianism - Hail Eris! - and the Church of the Subgenius - Praise "Bob"!), I guess I am a agnostic/theist and I am free to change my mind when I wish, and bluntly, I have no answers nor do I expect to gain any - that said I find militant nihilistic atheism as ludicrous as any advocate of religous fundamentalism.

Well, my personal life experiences tell me it's all a load of bovine you-know-what- and it's bad for you.

Most things (religions and governments especially) were created to separate fools from money. That, of course, includes money itself.

With religion, the priests get theirs (and yours) now, but you gotta wait for the big paycheck in the sky.

And please don't tell me how wonderful everything is on shrooms. Shrooms lie. They are neither plants nor animals. I can't tell you how many people found religion via "mind-altering" drugs.

OK, thanks for clarifying, so I'm assuming this tallies with the 'christ conciousness' spoken of since the late 80s / early 90's by many authors identified with the new age movement.

(For the record I do not regards myself as a Chrisitian nor do I identify with any Abrahamic belief system or dogma)

What are your thoughts on the theory that a demiurge like non-human intelligence, is ultimately behind the move towards destroying all life on this planet?  (along the lines of Richard Sauder's machine intelligence)

Hence the use of DU in warfare, Fukishima etc - - the resulting aerosoled munitions and radiation polluting the planet for millenia to come, that would not logically serve any human agency that would ultimately seek to control the planet.

I've had my own personal gnosis/spiritual/otherworldy revelations in life...they suggest there is more to existence, sadly we are locked into this life, unless we meet with an untimely death or decided to opt out (which apparently is bad and a 'sin') - so there MUST be a reason for us to be here, rather than just observation.

Thank you DTOM for playing. I have experienced, experientially!! what probably could be construed as "The Christ".

And from that mystical reference of pure bliss & knowledge

I would be more than happy to translate that for you:

"What is the "Christ" is nothing more

than pure conscious awareness being Aware of ItSelf. (forever)

You really gotta see this shit for YourSelf

(cause otherwise we'd just be making up another religion)
