I am glad the two of you escaped with your sanity intact!  The Catholic church really does a number on folks totally ingrained in it.  It was a form of control of the people, keeping them ignorant of their liberty found in a relationship with their God.  England wanted to keep control with the church, therefore burning at the stake all those who were caught transposing the Word of God and giving them to people; Or telling people of their God-given ability to come to him freely, on their own without an intercessor.  Jesus came so that he would be that intercessor.  My 12th great grandfather, John Rogers the Martyr, was the first burned at the stake by Queen Mary (Bloody Mary).  He was transposing the word for common people and telling them what the state and church were about....control.

I was raised Catholic,  I lost my religion at 12 years old when i found out that the priests of my parish would take their vacations in Guadelahara Mexico which is the Gay capital like San Fransico CA is. They  would have a real swinging time , Then there was the scandal about the Homosexual culture at the seminaries I fled in disgust .

I m not anti gay I just thought these people were dangerous hypocrites. At 12 I refused to go back or become confrimed

The catholic church is creepier by the day .. and i was born and raised in it!~ that is just my opinion they spook me out! there whole religion is just so over the top weird to me .. the way they dress is super weird they are like costumes and it is all some kinda weird ritualistic crazy stuff they got going on if you look behind the curtain and question .  But i have to say no more strange than other religions i guess.. I know many catholic's and they believe that bread at communion actually becomes the body and blood of christ .. ok??
