'The War on Kids' shows how American public schools have failed in their mission to provide education, erode the country's democratic foundation by denying the most basic civil rights to youth, and often resemble prisons.
Teach children from a very young age to be model prisoners, what do you think they'll grow up to be?
This video shows you what most schools today have in common with
minimum security prisons...

Nikki: Yes, that's another excellent one! Now put tv ('opiate of the masses') together with public schools and we indeed have "A Brave New World" ;-)
"And it seems to me perfectly in the cards that there will be within the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods."
-- Aldous Huxley, 1959
(And you know that "brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods" is already here too)
"American public schools have failed in their mission to provide education"
Providing education was NEVER their mission though. I think it would be accurate to say the opposite: Their mission was to make sure kids DON'T get an education. Hope you have read Dumbing Us Down by John Taylor Gatto. It's an eye-opener. Even his article titled "The Public School Nightmare" would suffice as far as the current subject is concerned. Here is an article that talks about both (and much more) and you will see why I said what I said up top:
ARE OUR "SCHOOLS" CONCENTRATION CAMPUSES FOR MIND DESTRUCTION?(DON'T miss the "seven lessons" bit...:) )
"Destroying the New World Order"
