To me; its as if he is thinking: Well, its a done deal now and, I can't believe we actually did this.
If one thing stands out as being evident, is that; he does not act too surprised, or take aback - he acts as though, the news was expected, but his reaction is like; they actually did it?
I also get the impression that he looks guilty; like he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar - its as though he feels, that there are those, that know, that he knows...known, unknowns?
