Alex Jones: Globalist conspiracy created Navy Yard ‘patsy’ shooter to ‘discredit’ me

Only hours after at least 12 people were reportedly left dead from a mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, fringe conservative radio host Alex Jones had already announced that the tragedy was a globalist conspiracy to “discredit” him.

“You better believe that even if they’re just pure jihadis that did this, even connected to Al-Qaeda groups out of the Middle East being commanded by the leader of Al-Qaeda last Friday to attack the United States… even if that’s the case, you can believe, like the last three or four cases, they’re going to try to connect it to Inforwars.com and yours truly, part of the long-term demonization campaign,” Jones explained.

Alex Jones

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones speculated that the attack on the Washington Navy Yard may have been a false flag operation committed by disguised government agents in pursuit of some obscure goal to restrict liberty. Despite Jones' far-fetched and often offensive statements, conservative outlets like Fox News and the Drudge Report have continued to promote his theories -- coverage that has even inspired legislative action in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives.

After a gunman attacked the Washington Navy Yard on September 16, Alex Jones immediately wondered if the attack was part of some conspiracy, tweeting, "Who will the Navy yard shooting be blamed on? Terrorist? Tea Partier? Leftist? Lone nut?" Later, on his radio show, Jones said, "when you have multiple shooters like this, it has patsy written all over it," and compared it to the bombing at the Boston Marathon, which Jones described as "undoubtedly a false flag." At the time of publication, Reuters reported, "Up to three gunmen, at least two dressed in military-style clothing, killed several people and wounded at least four others in a shooting spree at the U.S. Navy Yard on Monday."

I think that it interesting to visit his websites, for the written information (articles) there, but I hardly, if ever, listen to his rants anymore.

I've tried to dismiss his demeanor as simply a character issue.  Of course, I'm getting old and soft.  :-)
Can't get as angry as I used to [It ain't healthy]

Did Jones actually say that?

I would bet dollars to donuts, he is right, or he is a disinfo person with no middle ground.  If he is the latter, then he is doing this to shore up his support that has been questioning his real role in all of this.  He may well have had a drop in readership.  I do know he has been attacked a lot  lately, so he could be right, or he could be responding to try and recover from the exposure.  I do not know which it is.

Zivahgo, I was a professional research analyst, many years ago, but never lost the skill. What you see me put up, I can document, and that is from 12 years of research on this whole mess, after I saw 9-11 on raw live feed and never saw it again on video replay and I knew then the agenda had to be big because they murdered thousands of Americans all for an agenda. They risked getting caught and the death penalty if convicted. But then I saw what I saw that day, again on video replay on CNN IN LONDON, NOT IN THE US which told me the press was in on it too.  That made it even bigger since they were aiding and abetting a felony first degree murder crime with the Death penalty as the punishment.

That is why I decided to go down these rabbit holes and find out what was the story behind it all.  Now we know, and now we have to decide just how far down the road to tyranny we are willing to travel.

I do not doubt your experience.  I left The Matrix on April 5th, 1968, the day after Dr. King got whacked.  I'd bhad 12 years of Catholic school draining.  And I staunchly believed in the doctrines of the Catholic Church--the "Body of Christ," as pre-Vatican II Catholicism preferred to view itself.  I got the whole shebang: 8 years (grammar school) of nuns--the "Brides of Christ," as they called themselves, getting my ears pulled, my knuckles whacked, and sometimes literally beat on my back with fists.

Nevertheless, I loved my religion.  We went to mass every single day at 10:00 a.m.--walked across this bridge that we entered from the second floor of the school, and that was attached to the Church.  Mass was 30 minutes.  I loved the Gregorian chant, the sacraments [Holy Communion, Confession, all that shit].  The church was a mini-cathedral, with stain glass windows that had depictions etched into them--depictions of Jesus, Mary, the disciples, "the devil," etc.

Back then, if you LOOKED at girls, it was a sin [maybe not mortal, but it was a sin], and you would go to confession and say, "Forgive me father, for I have sinned.  I looked at girls," and he'd give you your PENANCE: "One-hundred Our Fathers, One-hundred Hail Mary's, One-hundred Glory Be's.  Now, go and sin no more."

I was sheltered, so to speak, in a cacoon of "heavenly" religiosity.  It was a PICTURE.  And it all fell apart on April 4th, 1968.  The NEXT DAY I joined "The Revolution" as the '60s period was called.  We also called it, "The Movement."

I haven't trusted America since.  So, I'm VERY open to things.  It's just that I have not been able to pin Alex Jones down.  With the last year, though, he seems more and more believable to me.  Maybe that's only because he's becoming more and more SLICK.  Some here, I've noticed, see him as an "obvious" charlatan.  I'm not that certain.

It certainly can't be doing the power structure much good to have Jones CONSTANTLY warning everybody about the NWO, or Monsanto [and actually offering a solution, through his products--none of which I've purchased, quite frankly].  But, his stuff seems TOO tight--to "together."

Well, in truth, I do not obsess over that dude.  I actually don't follow him that much, except when some crazy stuff happens like this ALLEGED shooting.  Again, being '60s [and I will NEVER change], I don't trust SHIT.  I barely trust myself!  And I MEAN that.

Thanks for your replies.  Rap later.

My two cents.

Zhivago

P.S.  I know one thing: If we'd have had The Internet in my day, this muthufucka would be OVER with! (pardon my French)

I was born '81 and would very much appreciate if you found time to write a blog/discussion specifically about "The Movement" or "Revolution" of your day. Basically your experiences and observations of it, from April 4th 1968 onward. How did the movement market itself without the internet? What was successful for the movement, what hurt it? How long did it take to grow? What effectively shut the movement down until recent years? Activist Fatigue? I think I am a lot like you, just younger..

I'm going to TRY to make this brief, though I'm sure I'll fale.  First of all, something I must tell you.  A WHOLE LOT of the Movement people my age are SUFFERING, right now.  I've talked to plenty, so I know what I'm talking about.  And what are they suffering from?  NOT HAVING GIVEN A SHIT ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL SURVIVAL.  They LOVED--too much.

So know, mufuckas my age and older--who gave it ALL to the Movement--ain't got SHIT to show for it, materially.  Understand?  My big brother lives in another country [I won't mention which one].  He has a Master's degree, and is a genius.  But he was SO into the Movement that he didn't even THINK about shit like "retirement," or figuring out how the fuck he was gonna survive once he got this age an older.  Guess what?  He's on welfare in the country he lives in, and had to come back to the States JUST so he could make enough to qualify for SS (The country he lives in has dual citizenship).  He's pulling no more than $400 a month SS (Social Security)

Got another friend who lives in India now.  He's 67.  This dude's story you won't believe.  Okay, his daddy was filthy rich.  But JL (I'll call him) was totally dedicated to the Movement, TO THIS DAY.  His father left him a ton of dough.  But the dude was SO into the Movement, and divorced from REALITY that he spent ALL OF HIS INHERITANCE.  And he didn't even know he was spending it down.

Whenever he wanted to go to a rally, somewhere in the country, he'd just go to the bank, draw down some money, and go.  One day, he tells me [in shock], "I'm outta money!!!!"  I go, "Wait a minute...What?  What do you MEAN you're out of money?"  He goes, "Just that!  I went to the bank.  There's no MONEY!"  I go, "Man, I mean...Didn't you keep up?  You got a PASS book, right?"

He goes, "I just never kept up with it.  I just got the money."

Now, however that sounds to you, I shit you not.  That's HIM.  As I said, he's an extreme example, but THAT was the level of LOVE back in the day.  Now?  He and his wife HAD to go to India, because they can no longer afford to live here.  [I'm leading to something.  Hold tight!]

God, I LOVE that guy!!  I mean, that's REAL sacrifice!! [and a big hunk of plain old STUPIDITY].  But, it was LOVE-STUPID: fighting for the cause.  I got a number of other friends like that [including myself!]

My point?  At this moment, due to having FUCKED MY LIFE UP by serving various causes since '68 to about fairly recently, I'm sweating my ASS off, tryna figure out how the FUCK I'm gonna LIVE, me and my wife.  This is real shit.  It's no joke.  I got NOTHING, materially--not a DIME.  JUST enough for bills, including my Internet bill.

So, I really ain't got time to write a blog or a book or any of that about the Movement.  I hope you understand.  I'm trying to survive.  I shouldn't even be HERE, but I fucking ADDICTED.  I'm working on that too.

Now, I'll try to briefly [Yeah, right!] address your questions in the next post.

My two cents

--Zhivago--

Where to begin?  BIG topic, you asked me about.  Sheesh!!  In a way, we'd have to go back to virtually the "beginning" of time.  Ha!  But, no "time" for that.  Elements:

2000 YEARS OF STRAIGHT JACKETS
CARTESIANISM
THE CHURCH
THE SUPPRESSION OF WOMEN
THE INVENTION OF THE "WHITE" MAN
THE INVENTION OF THE "BLACK" MAN
CAPITALISM
VARIOUS OTHER CRAZY-ASSED, MEANINGLESS SHIT

This probably won't be in any order.  Okay, by the time the 60s jumped off, Euro-Western society had had almost 2000 years of uptight, straightjacket, disconnected [from oneself; from "the Divine"--the REAL divine] artificial culture.  That shit came to a screetching halt in the '60s.

The MASKS that we'd been wearing became SO oppressive that that shit was just TIRED.  When I say "we" I'm talking about the general, "white" society [just being honest here].  Black folks had THEIR uptight shit TOO, although it is [incorrectly] assumed that black folks were always "less uptight," and "more natural," and all that shit.  Well, yeah, in the sense of not having any fucking choice BUT to cool out!!  Wasn't no OPPORTUNITY to "fit" into the stiff, straight-jacket society that took almost 2000 years to develop.  So, fuck it!  LET'S PAAAAAARTAY!!!!

But, again, there DID exist an EXTREMELY uptight sector of the "black" community, that uptightness [just as with the "white" community] rooted in THE CHURCH.  You'd be surprised how conservative blacks were!  When the blues first jumped off, black church folks CONDEMNED it, big time, at the pulpit, as being "the work of the devil."  When rock-n-roll jumped off, SAME THING, no shit.  Of course, again, "black" folks were FAR, FAR less uptight than "white" folks.

The "beatnicks" [look them up], of the 1950s, were actually the "first" counter-culture folks that said, "FUCK IT!" and decided to examine [first through literature] other ways to think; other ways to live.  You'll find various arguments as to what "beat" was and was not.  What MATTERS, though, is what it LED to: a REJECTION of the status quo; a rejection of a lifestyle that had been 2000 years in the making.

It started with the Church.  Some cat whose Hebrew mother gave him a GREEK name [for some odd reason], "Jesus Christ" (and this is WHETHER OR NOT such a character ever actually existed), was throwing down some good shit, that he summarized in the following manner: The Kingdom of God is inside of you." [Luke, as well as The Gospel of Thomas (rejected by the church)]

And that was the message of the Gnostics.  It was a very, DEEP, sort of Buddhist philosophy of life.  Well, over time, due, in part, to this guy named Paul, a CHURCH formed--a very, very FUCKED UP church, whose "Fathers," such as St. Cypion, St. Bonaventure, St. Paul, and others, would say shit like, "Women are the malice of the dragon! They are the poison of the asp!!!  They brought us down, through their sin in the Garden of Eve!!" Do not underestimate the power of such doctrines.

The earth itself became AN ENEMY.  It became a place no longer filled with SPIRIT.  God wasn't there anymore.  To reach God, you couldn't just smell a flower; or kick your feet around in a cool spring.  To reach God, you had to go THROUGH THE CHURCH, which TOLD you how to reach God [often for a PRICE].

People became disconnected from their inner.  And anyone claiming that God was INSIDE of you [like the Gnostics claims] were MURDERED.  They snuffed the Gnostics OUT. This was a HUGE TURNING POINT IN EUROPEAN SOCIETY--huge.

The earth was now a place of PUNISHMENT, due to Eve's "sin" of giving Adam a fucking APPLE that he wasn't supposed to eat.  And people BELIEVED that shit!!  Still do!!!!  I mean, the WHOLE OF HUMANITY was "punished" on account of Adam eating an APPLE???!!!  Well, this was believed--deeply.

Sex itself REALLY became evil.  I mean, EVIL!!  Don't believe it?  Go online and look up, "Catholic Recovery Groups."  Lot of fucked up people, believe me.  I was one of them.

The Church didn't fuck around.  To gain total power, it would MURDER any mufucka that had some OTHER shit to say, or believe.  It was no joke.

The other thing that happened was Cartesianism [Rene Descartes], which saw the earth as A MACHINE.  The "Cartesian model" of analysis DOMINATED, as it still does, although consciousness is breaking Cartesianism down these days.  Cartesianism says that, to understand some shit, you have to break it up into parts.  Then you try to understand EACH PART, rather than understand THE ENTIRE SYSTEM.  Wanna know why medical costs are so high, and our medical system is fucked up, and why everybody's ON DRUGS, rather than trying to truly FIX they shit?  Cartesianism.

"Oh, your knee hurts?  Okay, that THIS drug, and that pain in your knee will go away."  But, here's the shit: the pain in the knee, AIN'T THE SOURCE OF YO PROBLEM!!!  It's just a SYMPTOM of some OTHER SHIT.  But the Cartesian model don't LOOK at SOURCE, or CONNECTIONS.  It just looks at ONE PART.

What will be the effect of nuclear energy?  Well, it don't matter.  We look at ONE PART, and fuck the rest.  Now?  Fukishima, and an ENTIRE OCEAN is threatened.  You like fish?  Don't eat any from the Pacific!!!  I wouldn't recommend that!

The Church destroy spirit.  Then The Enlightenment came, in part as a reaction AGAINST Church doctrine, and it ALSO ignored spirit (Well, except maybe the Deists, to an extent).  The Church destroyed spirit as a matter of religious DOCTRINE.  Enlightenment philosphers destroyed spirit as a reaction AGAINST Church doctrine.  So, spirit got fucked COMING AND GOING!!!

And what you ended up with was a SICK SOCIETY, BASED ON MATERIALISM.  I can't get into it, because it would take forever.  But, this is the very, very brief outline.  Deeper purposes of life no longer existed.  This stuff didn't happen right away.  This was the evolution of Western society.  We're fucked up [MYSELF INCLUDED!!!!] because of a WHOLE LOT OF FUCKED UP HISTORY.  You just gotta read about it.

Okay, now to the Movement days...

LOL, Good Chit!

The way The Movement "marketed" itself was simply WORD OF MOUTH.  People TALKED to each other back then.  There was something called, "The Grapevine," which was simply ORAL COMMUNICATION.  In the black community, The Grapevine was much, much stronger, due to the need to SURVIVE, in the U.S., as a hated minority.

Another thing that jumped off was, ALL NIGHT RAP SESSIONS.  This was a deep phenomenon.  Counter-culture folks would sit up LITEARLLY all night, discussing shit--SERIOUS shit [And you guys got SKYPE--HINT, HINT!!!!!!!].  They would pick a book to read, like on Chinese history, or some shit.  And folks would get together, smoke a little weed, drink a little liquor, and just READ.  I mean, quietly sit and READ.

And this shit was happening all OVER the place--white hippies, black nationalists, etc.  I can't explain it.  It was like some wave of SPIRIT had descended in the U.S.  The government was scared SHITLESS, because the shit was new, and they didn't know [at first!] how to counter it, nor did they know where it was going.

People developed counter-culture tracts [magazines; flyers, etc], and you just kept your eyes and ears opened for that.  It's really no different than today, in a way: I would have ZERO idea how to mix with young folks.  I just wouldn't.  But YOUNG folks know what they're into.  You guys probably all go to the same blogs.  Me?  Shit, I just wouldn't know.

In some sense, I think we had it better, communication-wise.  Talking to each other--up close and personal--was a very good experience.  Of course, there are pluses for Internet communication, for sure, such as rapid organizing.

Another thing: COFFEE HOUSES.  Oh, boy!!  This was great!!  Most people are not aware that coffee houses existed even in the black community, such as in Chicago, and they were EVERYWHERE.  You'd be walking down the street.  You duck down [they were almost always in basements] to a coffee house.  They were really cool!

There'd be soft music in the background, generally low lights (but enough to read by), and folks would be READING--studying.  NO SHIT!!  There was a LOT of learning going on back then.

Also (and this will surprise you), the mainstream news media was NOT the ASSHOLES they are today!!  You actually had GOOD REPORTERS that were simply doing their job: REPORTING.  So, a lot of the shit that The Movement was doing was actually reported on, in the news.  One reason for this is that the society, though AFRAID of us, were actually fascinated by us young folk.  Nothing like The Movement had ever happened in the States.  So, it was NEWS.  And it was NOT always slanted.  You had real journalists back then, not stenographers, like you have today.  Corporate America, though, finally realized that, in order to keep that shit [the 60s] from happening again, they'd have to take TOTAL charge of the media.  And they did it.  We see what's happening today.

The Universities were PARTICULARLY open, and VERY curious about us.  Shit, I was just 19 years old, and was one of about 5 people that was asked to speak, at three universities, about The Movement.  And the Universities were PAYING!!!  No shit!  Our first lecture brought us $1,000.  The next one brought us $1500.  And the last one we did brought us $2,000.

Unfortunately, we did not realize that, WE WERE BEING STUDIED.  We were filled with ourselves--a bit arrogant, quite frankly, and that arrogance blinded us from the fact that WE WERE BEING STUDIED.  The professors would sit there, in the audience, in a lecture hall, smoking pipes, while we railed on about "the system," and how fucked up the system was, and how WE were going to CHANGE IT.

So, you could learn a WHOLE LOT by walking on a university [even if you weren't a student] and simply going to a bulletin board to see who was gonna be giving a talk.  Or, you could simply go to the lunch room, and go, "Where's the happenings?"

Overall?  In truth?  I think the Internet is vastly superior, and you guys have a TREMENDOUS opportunity to take this world for yourselves, kick us old bastards out of the way.  The PROBLEM, though, is that the RATS are ALSO on the Internet, spying.  So, ya'll gotta figure out how to keep your communications genuine, and rat-free.

Okay, I hope that answers your question about how The Movement marketed.  The Communists were more organized, and they had more literature and newspapers.  The "Black Muslims" (the Nation of Islam) was REALLY GOOD with bonafied, anti-colonialist news from oveseas.  Its newspaper, Muhammad Speaks, was top notch and rivalled any of the mainstream news organs.

Okay, I hope that's enough  on the "marketing" part. [NEXT]

What was successful about the movement is that it planted seeds that, despite the efforts of the FBI, continue to grow.  We successfully shut down Vietnam [Well, with a tiny little bit of help from Ho Chi Minh, the NVA, and the Viet Cong!!].

And Vietnam, to this day, HAUNTS the war-mongers.  They want to win a war SO badly!!  And they though that WE were responsible for shutting down Vietnam.  We, meaning public opinion. And they have NEVER forgotten it, and are continually hoping to "win" another war, to "save face" [at the expense, of course, of millions of innocent lives].

As a collective HUMANITY, we helped the most downtrodden of American--black folks--to gain educational opportunities, etc., although there are debates, in the black community, as to whether the quest for integration and the Civil Rights Movement was more harmful than good [some say that self-determination was crushed by the Civil Rights Movement, and this led to the poverty that now exists in the black community.  That's right, there are some blacks that HATE the Civil Rights movements, and its achievements]

So, we united AS HUMANS, and that was VERY successful!!  And it scared the SHIT out of The System!!!  I'll give you a concrete example of the UNITY that frightened the 1 percent:

When the Black Panther Parth first came to Chicago, they served only the black community.  And they were involved in a lot of rhetoric and posturing.  And as long as they were talking about "off the pig" [kill police officers], the government didn't really pay much attention to them.  But something happened that changed that BIG time: Fred Hampton.

Aw, man!!!  Fred did some shit that was SO cool; SO deep.  Okay, check it, and I was actually there!  Fred decides to IMPLEMENT the Communist teachings that he believe in by focusing more on the idea of "the proletariat," and less on the idea of The Party being for black folks.

Fred went up to Uptown, in Chicago.  Uptown was, then, the part of Chicago that poor white folks live in.  Fred hooked up with a white dude named Slim Coleman.  And, working with Slim, The Black Panther Party opened up a soup kitchen------FOR POOR WHITE FOLKS!!!

Aw, man!!  Okay, you'd go up to Uptown on a Saturday morning, for instance.  And you'd see this LONG-ASSED line that was like 3 blocks long--ALL WHITE FOLKS!  And at the front of that line, sitting at tables, were BLACK PANTHER PARTY MEMBERS dishing out food to poor white folks!!!

See, THAT'S the shit that got Fred murdered by the Chicago Police Department!!  See, as long as The Party was serving ONLY black folks, and just TALKING revolutionary shit, the government didn't REALLY care.  But the moment The Party, through Fred, CROSSED RACIAL LINES, to the point of even serving food to poor white folks, the system FREAKED OUT!!!

Next thing you know?  The Chicago Police Department MURDERED Fred, while he was asleep, in a flurry of gunshot wounds--some ridiculous number of gunshots. Look it up.  It was pure, cold-blooded murder.

And what REALLY freaked the pigs out was that, after Fred opened up the soup kitchen for white folks, the next thing you know was that YOUNG WHITE MALES WERE WALKING AROUND WITH BLACK PANTHER PARTY UNIFORMS ON!!!  In short, WHITE MALES had begun JOINING The Black Panther Party!

That's right!  I SAW that shit!  I was THERE! Oh, you ain't gonna find that shit NOWHERE--probably not even on the Internet.  Because the system DOES NOT want people to know that white folks, black folks, HISPANIC folks, had actually joined together, under the revolutionary banner of The Black Panther Party, to fight against the system.  The system went, "Awwwwwwww, SHIT!!!  We gotta stop THIS shit!!"  And they did.

this brings up what I feel was NOT successful: We didn't unify ENOUGH.  The FBI did all kinds of tricks to keep Americans disunited; to keep us mistrustful of one another; to keep us divided.  To keep us thinking less as ONE PEOPLE, and more as little TRIBES.  That's why the system is over in the Middle East, trying to divide up shit.  The want to divide Syria into 4 sections.  They fucked Libya up, and Libya's divided by tribe, militia, gang, with Al-Qaeda at the top.

They wanted to divide Iraq up, and Iraq, at this moment, is catching HELL as a society.  Divide and conquer was the speciality of the British.  Yeah, that's were we fucked up.  That's one thing that I LIKE about Alex Jones [Well, at least his TALK, anyway]: He very often says, "We can't let these bastards divide us by race and all that nonsense!"

Once you can think only of YOUR OWN GROUP, they got you.

As regards what shut The Movement down:

1. The absolutely tenacious work of the FBI.  J. Edgar Hoover had vowed that he would shut The Movement down, even if it meant destroying the least important member of a particular group.

2. Division (Communists, anarchists, black nationalists, hippies, socialists, etc, etc.)  No one could figure out how to unite.  Such attempts WERE made, but they'd get no where.

3. Informants.  OH...MY...GOD!!  It is absolutely astonishing the vast number of informants that the FBI, the police departments, etc., could find [and pay!!] to spy on people.  I am STILL naieve on this.  I just cannot understand HOW someone can spy on people who are trying to better society, and do so for money!  It's just beyond me.

4. DRUGS.  When The Movement first started, drugs was not an issue.  The FBI introduced drugs into The Movement.  Oh, that's an OLD trick.  But we were too young, with no real grasp of history.  Well, except for the Communists!!  The Communists were ON IT!!!  Those cats were DEEP into history, and they were warning people that the drug shit was CREATED by the government in order to water down The Movement; in order to change the focus.  Again: The drug culture of the ' 60s, as it is now popularly known, DID NOT EXIST AT FIRST.  People were serious--no drugs.  But that changed with the influx of drugs INTRODUCED to The Movement.  The government is diabolical

5. LIFE.  What I mean by "life" is this: People have to survive, day to day.  You can have all the philosophy, ideology, belief, etc., you want.  But you STILL have to EAT.  So, after a while, The Movement just got TIRED.  How do you FINANCE a Movement?  People still have to pay bills.  Some groups were living communally, purchasing HUGE buildings and sharing the bills. Even alternative Christian groups, like Jesus People U.S.A., lived communally and in a counter-culture manner [minus the drugs].  But, it wasn't enough.  It amazes me how unified the 1 percent are, and how DIS-unified the rest of us are.  I have no answer for that.

6. MUSIC.  Some of you might not like this.  Music was MOVING UPWARDS, spiritually, both "white" music and "black" music.  Musicians were being influenced by the counter-culture, and were experimenting with DEEPER forms of music, even so much as going to India.  This new music served as background in our coffee houses; at our all-night rap sessions; or just when we were alone, studying.  Then, suddenly, the music DEVOLVED.  This is particularly so in the black community.  Hip-hop and rap degenerated to become "Kill that muthufucka" and "fuck that bitch" lyrics--MEANINGLESS shit that had NO political or social content of any worth.  And now?  The SAME neighborhood where a deep counter-culture had developed--the south side of Chicago--is now the very center of gang activity, with children as young as 3 years old being shot to death.

I cannot prove this.  But, I believe that the government had something to do with the deterioration of the music.  Anything that was uplifting had to be stomped.  This is how I think the government felt.  Jazz, for instance, was reaching a very high level.  Music was moving UPWARD; becoming more spiritual.

7. Violence.  This continues No. 1 above.  The government murdered a bunch of people.  That shit scared folks to death.  Others were imprisoned.  Others were forced out of the country.  Others were LITERALLY driven insane, and are walking the streets, to this day, as mentally destroyed homeless people.  It was a war against The Movement.  A total war.  This violence frightened a bunch of Movement people.  So that, by the 1980s, a whole lot of Movement people had crawled back into the system, many of them becoming lawyers, practicing civil law with the hope of helping the downtrodden legally.  The "Me" generation had arrived.

Yes, the combined stuff above brought on Activist Fatigue, as you call it.  In short, we lost that battle [notice I said, "battle," not war].

I think that the next battle will be on the level of CONSCIOUSNESS.  It won't be protests, guns, and shit like that.  I might be naieve.  But, I think that this consciousness stuff I've been reading [and getting into, actually] has some strength to it, and seems to be verified by the science of quantum physics.  Either that, or I'm simply trying to find an easy way out.  :-)

This is as much as I can tell you now.  Sorry that what I've written lacked specfici details (except for the Fred Hampton piece).  But it was a BIG era with a whole lot happening.  I didn't mention, for example, A.I.M.--the American Indian Movement, or the Chicano Movement, and other movements for justice.  It all came together at one time, but just could not be HELD together.
