U.S. says diplomatic engagement with Russia continues

WASHINGTON, Dec 21 (Reuters) - The United States on Wednesday disputed comments by a Russian government spokesman that almost all communications channels between Russia and the United States were frozen, saying that there had been no break in dialog.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that "almost every level of dialog" with the United States had ceased, according to the RIA news agency.
