Researchers working through Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth are planning a lawsuit that will target the release all of the records gathered during the investigation of the September 11th attacks. David Cole, one of the leading researchers, was told by the agencies that the number of documents, images and other items totals nearly 500,000 records that would provide critical new insight into discrepancies with the official report. The records include most of the evidence collected by NIST, FEMA and various contractors, as some is unavailable for various reasons. Cole has suspicions the real total may be far higher than half a million.

Over the last 3 years, NIST and FEMA have resisted numerous attempts at obtaining information through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. In some cases, the FOIA process has been stalled and despite contact attempts to expedite the handling, the obligations of both FEMA and NIST remain unfinished. One instance was described by Global Research.

At first, FEMA denied having any records, then it claimed to have turned over everything to another federal agency — namely, NIST. FEMA referred Cole’s FOIA request to NIST, and NIST eventually released a tiny portion of the records. But that arrangement between the two agencies wasn’t legal under the FOIA statute, which mandates that agencies maintain control over their own records.

Records related to the fraudulent report on Building 7 by NIST are also involved. There are numerous parts of the ongoing investigation that have not been presented which would be helped by the release of the records. WTF News frequently works with the team and many aspects of the investigation are in the process of being completed.

Another researcher Tony Szamboti has compiled a list of 25 specific examples that show the NIST report is “unscientific and fraudulent” which the research team plans to pursue most.
