TSA Groping Scandal Just Got a Whole Lot Bigger
Two employees were terminated over the incident – the “groper” and his accomplice. But now, a new report has come out that the TSA scandal isn’t limited to just one or two rogue employees in Denver.
Judicial Watch provides new information:
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it obtained 58 pages of records from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that detail alleged sexually-related assaults on passengers by TSA personnel at three major U.S. international airports. The documents describe incidents at Denver International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.The documents were released in response to a July 11, 2014, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 1:14-cv-01179)). The lawsuit was filed after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) failed to respond to a March 5, 2014, FOIA request seeking:Any and all passenger complaint forms (referred to as “yellow cards”), “To From” memoranda and Incident Reports filed in 2013 at the following US airports: Dulles International Airport, Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Denver International Airport, Miami International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport …The TSA documents show that passengers strenuously objected to the alleged sexually-related assaults, repeatedly saying they were “shocked,” “violated,” and “humiliated.” In one incident, a passenger reported that TSA officers, and “even the Supervisor … began to roar with laughter at the alleged sexual assault.”In other incidents, a breast cancer survivor reported she felt as if she had been raped. And an elderly passenger with a colostomy bag said she felt violated after being informed by a TSA agent that she had to “touch her bag so I could then touch her hands.”
Apparently what we now have is an out of control federal agency that cares little for personal human rights and dignity. Under the guise of protecting the public, a number of “perverts” are getting their thrills by groping passengers in ways that have nothing to do with security.
The specific graphic details of the sexual assaults are listed in the documentation, but they include men having their groins groped and women having their breasts groped.
One man even reported a testicular injury as a result of a TSA “pat down.”
And, we must remember that virtually all of these sexual assaults are taking place by TSA agents of the same gender as the passengers they are assaulting.
Perhaps the TSA needs to do better screening of employees before hiring them. At any rate, a full investigation is warranted. These assaults may be going on at other airports in the country as well.
