Rapper Lupe Fiasco thrown offstage during pre-inauguration event after anti-Obama rant

Rapper Lupe Fiasco was thrown offstage and escorted off the premises of a Washington, D.C. concert hall during a pre-inauguration concert Sunday night, after going on an anti-war, anti-Obama rant, according to concertgoers.

Josh Rogin, a reporter with Foreign Policy magazine, tweeted late Sunday, “Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set.”

“So Lupe played one anti-war song for 30 min and said he didn’t vote for Obama,” he continued, ”and eventually was told to move on to the next song…Lupe refused to move to the next song so a team of security guards came on stage and told him to go.” Another attendee at the StartUp RockOn event tweeted, “Things going terribly wrong at @lupefiasco performance during#SURO. Kicked off stage, bashing obama…”

Nice addition Tara...w00t!

Oust this Bastard Usurper before its too late folks!!!

O'Reilly too ;)

Oopsie! Someone didn't do their research, LMAO.

What does that tell you, Greg?

And that makes him suspicious why?... Ok, so he's Muslim, grew up poor and his dad was a Black Panther... big deal. IMO, it took great courage to do what he did, ranting truth to power before the inauguration.

I totally agree, Tara.  In fact he probably recognizes the truth about O'Bummer BECAUSE of his background.

Here's more:

And Tara, you and I have both added posts here about Lupe Fiasco. How come we know how this rapper feels about the president yet the inaugural celebration planners apparently didn't have a clue?

hmm... not sure why. Maybe they were more impressed with his celebrity than actually listening to the lyrics. I know being in bands myself, most people hardly ever listen to lyrics. It was to Obummers detriment in this case. Ya gotta love it ;)

I agree Tara... they(people putting the program together thought) Hey he's from Chicago... let's use him. Surprise!  hahaha  Well for whatever it was worth, I'm sure being kicked off stage in itself meant this rapper had a point opposite to Ob's policies.

Of course they are trying to save face and cover their asses. And technically he wasn't "thrown off" stage but was escorted off and there are videos all over the net today to back that up. The last thing they support is free speech. Whoever is responsible for inviting Fiasco will never this down. I almost feel sorry for them.

Funny!
