lol..slice of mystery preservative "meat", topped w/ a slice of gelatinous petroleum cheese-like foodstuff, wrapped in a GMO corn tortilla...mmmmmmm...and what crawled into that hotdog bun & died???

school lunch we had was pretty good actually, and it was .30¢....pizza day rocked ;)

My grade school had a true kitchen and lunchroom with a buffet style line. The ladies that served us stood behind the buffet line and put hot food made in the kitchen that day on our plates, we even got yeast rolls with dinner and home made cake or some kind of dessert! So you know how early the LADIES had to arrive. They were true lunch LADIES! They knew us all by name and spoke to each of us as we went through the line.

They are one of my fondest memories of grade school.

Their uniforms were always pressed and a very bright white, never a stain. Their hair was always done nice and they wore a little white hat. It was an honor to be the lunch LADY in my town.

You were allowed to go back for seconds and get an extra whole milk that still had cream in it sometimes ( but this you had to pay for) the extra helpings were free! Why not they would have thrown it out anyway. On days there was a lot left over the poorer children took supper home for the family.

To get to this wonderful place we had to line up along a big white porcelain sink and wash our hands with bar soap and dry them on a true cotton towel that rolled down with each use, then downstairs into the basement we would go at the bottom of the stairs stood our first encounter with one of the ladies that could work magic with food. She was smiling at us waiting to punch our meal card that we bought once a week from the office.

It always smelled so good and tasted even better.

I would like to thank all and any true lunch LADIES that are out there, you are one hell of a set of people!

Oh boy! There sure is a big difference between that and today's pathetic excuse for a lunch. It seems they are trying to wither the children with tasteless, poisonous, nutrient scarce junk food. They also are quite successful  in their efforts. Growing children need good nutrition to become physically and mentally healthy adults. Depriving them of proper food leaves them weak with lower IQ more suitable for being slaves or slaughtered without resistance. Isn't it obvious?
