Microsoft starts accepting Bitcoin payments
"Opening up to new payment options, Microsoft has started accepting Bitcoin payments on its Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox stores.
The cryptocurrency can be used to add money to a Microsoft account in order to buy apps, games and other digital content from its various online stores, Microsoft said on a help page detailing how to use Bitcoin."
Cryptography is voodoo to most people I don't blame you or others for not getting a decentralized trustless peer to peer cryptographic currency. By the way I CAN hold bitcoin in my hand its just encrypted 1's and 0's on a thumb drive. A drive I can take to any place on the planet with internet and use it as cash. Bitcoin has intrinsic value due to it's utility as a method of frictionless exchange and secure wealth storage. Volatility will calm down once the market cap grows. I trust bitcoin much more than I trust the Fed if you want to keep your wealth in Fiat bills backed by nothing, fine. I prefer bitcoin it's counterfeit / inflation proof and nearly impossible to confiscate if you know encryption and how to hide backups in globally accessible places. If the feds kick my door in they can take everything except my crypto-currency's. Can your gold or silver frustrate them so?
Food, guns and copious amounts of ammo are always the first step but I assume everyone already has that... Time to buy bitcoin/litecoin! You can always sell/buy something with it before the bottom falls out I doubt we will collapse overnight barring a nuclear war or something.
Bitcoin just bounced off the bottom If you want in It's a good time to buy.
