Finding a book with pages bent and brown
Wandering through the ruins, in a city of old

Signs all around us, Nature’s warning
Some are protesting many are scorning

Underground springs and natural fountains

Out of the Cities, into the Country
If there’s still time, you just might get free
But there will be refuge, for only the chosen few

You are again from the garden forbidden
But in you the seeds of tomorrow are hidden
Prophets and Pastors and Political Masters
Were all swept away when the damage was done
Still from their laughter, a choice of disasters
Looms in the distance for those who live on

Thanks Jen, glad you liked it. I also have music written and recorded for these lyrics. I may post the song someday when you get that area of the website up and running.
