Cameras help combat 'lollipop rage' in part of Somerset-Lollipop ladies and men in Bath and North East Somerset are to have cameras fixed to the poles of their signs to catch reckless drivers on film.

Northern Ireland police increasing presence after attacks-Northern Ireland police are beefing up their street presence due to increased paramilitary attacks and may have to keep a reserve force that was due to be disbanded under a peace deal, officers said on Wednesday.Northern Ireland's regional assembly voted last month to take over police and justice powers, cementing the latest hard-won agreement between the province's divided communities, and appointed its first justice minister.

The region's police chief said, however, that he wanted more officers on the ground to tackle mounting attacks by Republican splinter groups opposed to the peace process.

"The last few months has seen a considerable escalation of terrorist activity," the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said in a statement.

Chief Constable Matt Baggott this week stepped up security measures across Northern Ireland, including the reintroduction of checkpoints for motorists in areas where they have not been seen for years. Ok guys, the recent debacle with Robert Green being rearrested for daring to speak out against the nest of vipers that are in control of every branch of authority here in the uk, has given us an opportunity.

Updated poster for Child Snatching by the State Conference as requested by Jane Blogs!  If you can make it along, it will be worth it.  Jane will be speaking about her experience.  Ian Josephs will be in attendance, as will Brian Gerrish.  Another thing to mention is that Hollie and Anne Greig will be there too, so please turn up to show your support!  Click the poster to see who else will be there and more details.  If we were in the UK, we’d be going ourselves without doubt.  All journalists are welcome to attend.  It will make for a good day out and will be very informative indeed.  There is also an opportunity for parents and families to go up on stage and discuss their experiences of the UK Social Services, during the open mic section in the afternoon.

Omagh bombing intelligence inquiry needed, say MPs

• Questions unanswered on what police knew, says committee

A public inquiry should be established to examine whether vital intelligence on the Real IRA was shielded from detectives investigating the Omagh bomb massacre.

The Northern Ireland affairs committee at Westminster made the recommendation following its investigation into how the Omagh atrocity was handled.
