Ivy, Brythonic Celts (Cymru, Kernow & Breizh - Welsh, Cornish & Breton) supposedly originated from the Basque region.  Supposedly, those with Brythonic or Goidelic ancestry, have a high chance of being Rh negative.

Those who are Rh negative -  may I ask how many of you have ancestors from the British Isles (Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales)?

@Mystery, here's a blood type chart

I am A- and RH factor negative. I know my father is A- also. My two sons and one daughter are A-. My daughter is also RH factor negative. Her son is A-. I thought this to be very unusual all in itself because the other parent in each case had a different type of blood. Why hasn't a recessive blood come to the surface?

@ Amaterasu Solar, that's true esp with the first child. I'm an Rh negative so I'm aware of this.  But what did the doctors watch for? And how would they have known anything was wrong until the baby was born?

Comment by Amaterasu Solar on February 3, 2012 at 1:08pm

The Rh negative mother does not always reject an Rh positive foetus.  I know.  I am Rh positive and My mother was Rh negative (We're both O)  She gave blood frequently because She was a universal donor.

The doctors watched Her very carefully through all Her pregnancies - My siblings are also Rh positive.  So...  It is not foregone that the Rh negative mother will reject Rh positive foeti.

Correct me if I am wrong, but are there not three types of mammals that human DNA is compatible with? I believe I read it was a pig, a sheep , and a certain type of mountain goat.

I also recall a story from some old religious text about a deviant man that had unnatural relations with all kinds of animals. He was banished from his village and in his wake, left all kinds of new creatures.

Ever wonder why Lionel Richie looked like a horse?

It’s interesting to note, that our blood is grouped into A, B, AB, or O and also by the Rhesus [Rh] factor, which is either negative or positive, and it’s believed that 85% of people are Rh positive.  This means they have an antigen on their red blood cells for the Rh factor - those without it, are Rh negative.  Oddly enough, people with the Rh positive characteristics contain a protein that can be traced to the Rhesus monkey.  While it’s known that Rh negative blood – type 'O'>, is the purest blood known to mankind, it is not known from where the negative factor originates, Rh negative factor that makes the blood ‘pure’, is pure enough to be the universal blood of every human being.  Everyone on the face of the earth can receive Rh negative type ‘O’ blood, but these very same ‘O’ negative people cannot receive blood from any other type except their own type.  An Rh negative pregnant mother’s body will reject her positive blooded baby in the womb.  Her body fights the Rhesus factor as a foreign element, and perhaps why some women may miscarry, and not even understand why. However, a positive mother’s body does not fight the negative baby she is carrying.  Yet then again, it could be argued we also have a lot in common with the pig, whom have around the same size internal organs, i.e. liver and kidneys as us.

I'm quite happy to accept the possiblities we have been in some way modified, as isn't that what all that Adam and Eve lark and the making of her from Adam's rib.  Did the Levite's pick up on this in the ancient texts, and used this kind of representation in the creation story?

And I'm even happier to know their are some other crazy dudes flying about out there in deep space, - as I'd more than welcome them around my gaff for a cup of Twinings, as I can't see why aliens must = aggression, unless of course they're more like humans, i.e. - piss heads and love a fight!
