I'm confused about the term "transgender". Is a transgender man someone who was born a woman and decided later to be a man, or is it a person who was born a man and later decided to become a woman?
I understand that most journalists are Liberal Arts Majors who are terrified of science. However, clarity in their articles will be vastly improved it they accompany the qualifier "transgender" with XX or XY. That's because whichever chromosome package a person is born with will remain the same until their death, regardless of surgery, hormone treatments and personal hallucinations.
