A woman tried to save drivers from getting ticketed by police and instead ended up in jail herself

A cop in Houston arrested a woman for holding up a tiny sign warning drivers of a speed trap. The cop allegedly searched the woman without her consent, accused her of "obstructing justice," threatened her with 3 to 5 years in jail, then made up a lie she was standing in the street and "was a danger to herself and others," a claim which the woman vehemently denies.

Via KTRK Houston:

A woman tried to save drivers from getting ticketed by police and instead ended up in jail herself. Now she claims she was wrongfully arrested.

It all happened as officers were clocking speeders and pulling them over last week near downtown. Natalie Plummer now fears police retribution. She says she was just trying to get people to stop driving so fast, and that instead of being seen as helpful, she was arrested for it.

[...]Plummer claims one of the officers drove up, jumped from his car and started pulling at her backpack. She says he searched it without consent, and then arrested her.

"He was telling me he was taking me to jail for obstructing justice, that was an automatic three to five years," Plummer recalled.

Police Force - Their task is to keep up an illusion that the society genuinely cares about its citizens. To nurture the false perception of security and collect money for the abuse system. Speed limit signs are one example of the society pretending to protect us and they give an excuse for a legal robbery of people by the state, just one of the many other excuses.

Ultimately it is these cock sucking judges in the court system who are responsible for this, for letting cops get away with it the judges should  be dragged out of their chambers in Hanged

I also went to jail for warning oncoming drivers of a speed trap. I flashed my lights to tell them. A state trooper jumped out from behind the oncoming traffic and pulled me over and took me to jail. On my birthday no less!

How about a sign that simply said, "I think you should SLOW DOWN!", would that be seen as illegal?

If there were parking meters when Jesus walked, this lovely young woman would have been given her own space in The Bible. She would have been thrown in prison, but her kindness and love for community is inspirational. I put her up there with the lady in red who tackled the pope and Sinnead O'Connor when she tore up the pope's picture on SNL.
