Border Patrol agents arrest Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipient Tuesday morning at the HWY immigration checkpoint for allegedly smuggling meth.
According to a news release by the El Centro Sector Border Patrol, at around 11:24 a.m., a 22-year-old man approached the checkpoint in a grey Kia Optima. During inspection, a canine team alerted agents to the vehicle. Agents found 14 vacuum-sealed packages concealed inside of the vehicle's trunk.
The packages were examined and tested positive for the characteristics of methamphetamine. The combined weight of the packages totaled 17.14 pounds, with an estimated value of $34,284.
The man was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration along with the vehicle and narcotics for further investigation.

The only problem I have with building a wall, is the design. It should have a cavity below it, so we could put these people inside. they want to be in this country but refuse to obey our laws. This would be a place kind of in between. Now that I think of it. Let's just build a prison on the border with a very tall wall on the north side. Anyone who broke in from the south would just become an inmate.
