This is only going to be up here for a week or so, I thought Penn and Teller did a great job showing how ridiculous the 2012 Armageddon is. Imagine that you are on a big, beautiful cruise ship on a vacation in the middle of the ocean. Suddenly, a small, but well armed contingent of pirates assaults the ship and takes control. They begin robbing, beating, and killing crew members and passengers. They turn the ship toward their own little pirate kingdom with the full intention to kill off everyone that… Continue
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke ran into skepticism Tuesday from lawmakers wary of expanding the Fed's duties to police big financial companies. They argued that the Fed failed to spot problems that led to the financial crisis in the first place.

When Ayman al-Shurafa was taken to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, few outside Chicago had heard of Barack Obama.
By the time Obama, a junior senator from Illinois, announced he was running for president in 2007, al-Shurafa, a Palestinian, had already spent five years in the jail and had been cleared for release by the administration of George Bush, the then-president.

With legal charges brought against them by the families of victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the airline companies claimed that even if they had multiplied the number of safety measures, the attacks would have succeeded anyway.
According to their lawyers, the lack of response on the part of the authorities is enough… Continue
Careful Gambler is packing for a summer vacation, but wants to alert his readers as to critical dollar developments.
From his Feb 14th 2009 posting he wrote: “A break below 80 on the DXY would almost certainly cause a test of the low 70’s low. Breaching 70 in this environment of bank insolvency, investor fear and uncertainty would be catastrophic and extremely disruptive to…
A Swedish artist has spent months on a mega-project involving the public installation of faux-bombs, made of carrots, alarm clocks, red and blue cables, metal wire and tape, in the Göteborg area of Sweden. Called "Bunny Project," the concept is "rabbit as symbol for subversive activities, activities outside the reach of the control system. The rabbit has an almost… Continue

The party says ratification of the contentious treaty is crucial to Ireland's economic recovery and will make Europe more democratic. It also says the issues that worried Irish people during the… Continue
