10 Reasons Why Nothing You Do On The Internet Will EVER Be Private Again

The Internet is rapidly being transformed into a Big Brother control grid where privacy rights are being systematically strangled to death.  The control freaks that run things have become absolutely obsessed with watching, tracking, monitoring and recording virtually everything that you do on the Internet.  One thing that you can count on is that nothing you do on the Internet will ever be private again.  In fact, if you are obsessed with privacy then the last place you want to be is on the Internet.  Most Americans have absolutely no idea how far Internet surveillance has advanced in the past few years.  At this point, it would be hard to imagine any place less private than the Internet.  Do not ever put anything on the Internet that you would not want the authorities or your employer to hold you accountable for.  Basically, the Internet is creating a permanent dossier on each one of us, and we contribute to this process by freely posting gigantic volumes of information about ourselves on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter.  The Internet is the greatest tool for mass communication that the world has perhaps ever seen, and it gives average citizens the ability to communicate with each other like never before, but there is also a downside to using the Internet.  Everything that we do on the Internet is being watched, monitored and recorded and there is no longer any such thing as Internet privacy.  If you think that you still have any privacy on the Internet, then you are either ignorant of what is going on or you are being delusional.

The following are 10 reasons why nothing you do on the Internet will ever be private again….

What I have amounts to a small icon to the upper right hand corner of my screen. Two icons actually, a red circle with the number of blocked sites over top of another that I cannot see. When I click the red icon I get a drop down screen that lists the types of networks or companies and the corresponding number of snoops on each one. Right now the list claims that three out of the four social networks and four out of the four companies trackers have been blocked. So far I have not been able to confirm the URLs/address/names of any of the blocked parties. Maybe I will check into this possibility and see what turns up. Could be a scam. I'll let you know.

I have a question for you overdoneone. When you have a gray screen do you have little gray squares with dotted lines around it? The reason I asked is because all of mine usually just say the name of the site that I visited but the other night i was talking to James and went to his page. Now it shows his page completely in one of my squares. It is the only one that has done that so far. Have you had this happen to you, or is it just mine? Thanks for any help or suggestions you may have on this. It puzzles me.

I found this app among the many choices for my firefox browser. It would appear that yours and mine seem to be blocking the same number of snoops. I guess time will tell on the efficiency of these things. It never hurts to try and protect oneself.

Did you find this do not track on abine.com? I show two ad companies and two social networks and 4 companies. Just how effective it is I don't really know. I have not had mine very long and have only blocked a little over 5000. I have noticed either some places are not tracked or it just won't work there. I don't know which one it is.

Very interesting article and something to be concerned about. Recently I installed an add on called DNT or Do Not Track. The claim is that every web page has a compliment of websites that track and record by ISP , every  individual viewing the page. For instance this page has 4 social networks and 4 companies monitoring me, all of them blocked, they claim. So far, over 35,000 companies have been blocked since I first installed the program.  Anybody here have a program such as this or have any information as to how effective DNT may be?
