Most people are probably aware of the Black Sun because there’s a large mosaic of it incorporated into the floor of the Wewelsburg Castle in Germany. Some names for Saturn in ancient astrology were “Great Lord Dark Sun” and “Clothed in Black” and Saturn was apparently referred to as the Black Star in old Judaic beliefs. Saturn was called “black” in the Babylonian cuneiform texts and Greco-Roman writings. As well as calling Saturn “black”, the Babylonians referred to Saturn as the Sun (as the “son of Shamash” and “Star of Helios”). Given this, Saturn would have been considered the “Black Sun” to the Babylonians."
