Christmas 2010

AND so goes another gift-giving season. The dis-credit society lives on, right?

Revenge and vengeance season for some; those that are afraid that 'reciprocate' means retaliate, mostly. (How many of THEM do you work with?)

Are you afraid people are like you? Or that they aren't?

Tempting thought anyway, eh? Uncle stinky gets soap, mouthwash and the office fink gets a presidential pardon-me to timbuck 3.

Enlightenment season for others; Zeitgeist was the movie of choice a few years ago. For these sad, grey days getting longer, '1001 reasons to shoot a banker.' might be more appropriate.

'Congrats. You're now a home-owner!' would've been the best way of taking care of the housing bubble by me. I can't think of a fully-funded pension plan anymore. A 3% raise to city workers seems to translate out into a 4% tax increase.

That idiocy will continue till the plans sink, thou if you simply wait another 5 years they'll wither and die on their own.

From lack of people AND funds.

Well, the funds that don't die of their own flop-sweat first. Terrorists, economy, pollution, climate change, bad food, poisoned water... Who says getting older is any fun?

Dept management. Europe (the EU) is holding a few trillion in each other's IOUs? Europe is burning (and under a couple feet of unexpected snow at the present writing.)

So is the states. China is giggling up it's sleeve, and looking south to Vietnam and Pakistan.

Canada has had some of the most draconian lunacy I've ever dreamt of being put on books right now. From corporations being allowed tax powers and revenue...

(copyright / xerox nonsense, + 'corp oversight boards on CRTC' kinda thing)

to search and seizure laws that make Adi Admin look like a fat, kindly old uncle.

Which of those African loons practiced cannibalism, anyway? That's one of the countries I plan on avoiding. Actually, Mexico is one of the countries I plan on avoiding. Free enterprise in drug/people smuggling is shooting back, forth, in front and to all sides down there.

Galloping off in all directions north, right?

Welcome to 2011. Power, vanity and greed being replaced by work, win and wait? (today's www pun) Naw. And the New World Order isn't offering anything except 'you lose! And it's the best we can do!'.

Myself? Out to the fields, if not the pasture.
