For those of us that use our computers to record the live broadcasts here at 12160 have discovered that vista does not allow you to record from the sound card, or so we have been led to believe. But it turns out that is wrong!!! There is a simple solution and i will show you how to do it!!!

Be sure to read through these instructions thoroughly before starting!

1. Select sound from the control panel. (another option is to right click the speaker icon in the task bar, then choose "Recording Devices.")
2. Select the recording tab. (If you used the "right click" option the recording tab should already be selected)
3. Right click on the background (that is, a blank spot) of the tab and choose "show disabled devices."
4. Right click on Wave Out Mix and click enable. (note: my computer did not call it "wave out mix" it is called "Stereo Mix")
5. Now it should work the same way as Wave Out Mix in Windows XP, allowing you to record any sound your computer makes.
