I suppose these bugs use radio for communication and control. The radio frequency they use exposes them. An effective defense system would be based on radio frequency scanner that recognizes their presence and then transmits a corresponding continuous jamming radio signal. That would result in the bugs becoming inoperable; not being able to receive control signals, nor transmitting their position or video data. They might drop down like dead roaches. This idea requires some development. Do we have any radio expert around?
