Yeah, it does effect the population as a whole. I admired Malcolm most when he went away from a strictly black nationalist viewpoint: which was after his pilgrimage to Mecca. He started to talk about solving problems from all fronts, not just people of African descent. He also had a video on the 2nd Amendment, which is similar to the same problem we face today. The Black Panthers were famous for wielding their guns in public and then Mr. Regan signed the Mulford Act in 1967. The act banned the panthers from holding guns in public in California. It seems like the same things are re-enacted. United we stand, divided we fall. Maya Angelou said, "I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back." What we collectively throw at them is immensely greater than anything they can lob at us.  6.8 billions educated people of all ilks, races, and genders, versus a syndicate of 300 or so........i think we have the advantage.

What Malcolm X was talking about some yester years ago is eerily similar to what we are seeing today, all these years after the fact. Malcolm X talked about black people banding together in movements and the state trying to stifle and defame the movement and make it look as if all members of the movement were all thugs and terrorists. Sound familiar? A recent post by James, S.C. Police on Alert After Political Activist "Liked" Article on Fa... is where we are at today. Now, not only black folks or minorities are being subjected to police state tactics, it is affecting us all now.
