Get this: A burglar calls 911 on himself, sort of, when a homeowner points a gun at him. Suspect Christopher Moore is charged with breaking into a Texas home Tuesday. Ironically, the accused calls police for help after staring down the barrels of a shotgun and handgun.

Citing a Dec. MyFoxDFW report, Springtown homeowner, James Gerow, was startled by a noise in his residence just after midnight. At first, he thought it was his son moving about the house. However, when he peeked out the window and saw an unfamiliar truck parked outside, he grabbed his handgun.

Moments later, Gerow discovered Moore in his son's bedroom and asked what he was doing in the home. The burglary suspect replied "unlucky," implying he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The alleged burglar fled to his truck and dialed 911 after the homeowner and his son cornered him, pointed guns at him and demanded he throw out keys. Fearing for his life, he complied and called police for help.

"I'm out in the country somewhere. Some guy's got a gun on me. He's going to come shoot me," the burglary suspect said.

"Who';s going to shoot you?" the 911 operator asked.

"I don't know, this dude in the red jacket," Moore replied.

Meanwhile, Gerow's wife had already called authorities about a possible burglary in progress and her fears her husband would shoot the suspect if they did not arrive on the double.

"You better come quick or my husband's going to shoot him," the homeowner's wife said.

Parker County deputies arrived about 10 minutes later while Moore and the man's wife were still on the phone with operators.

After an investigation, the burglar who called 911 was arrested for illegally entering the home. Police said the man admitted to having "bad intentions."
