The society has been brought to such a situation that the people cannot grow their own food anymore. People who don't have land are slaves. We should join our last resources and form companies that hold land, divide the land for each participant and grow our own food.

At the moment we are playing the game created by some sick sociopaths who aim to control everything. I'm not talking about just one country, because this is a global problem.

There may be other ways to escape the system but I have one idea. Why not collect a hundred or so like minded individuals and families to form a corporation that would purchase arable land away from the existing population centers? With a relatively modest investment of each participant multiplied by one hundred the company could purchase land and divide it in lots for each investor.

According to Mini Farmimg, by Brett L. Markman, you only need a quarter of an acre to support your family, the rest of the arable area would be for commercial production. The company could sell the agricultural products to the market or the individual investors could do the same, which is something to be agreed between the share holders. Consider this, it would not be done without work. Everybody would have to work for their living, to produce something real. Isn't it wonderful? The parasites would be completely eliminated.

It is not only agricultural production that I'm talking about. A society needs all kinds of products to survive. This is a great opportunity for people of creative minds. You would also need to think about alternatives for money. Independent individuals exchanging products to other products would have only their federal conscience to deal with. If you had 200 pounds of meat to exchange for construction materials, who would you inform of the transaction that took place? The tax officials of course, hah.

http://12160.org/group/economic-independence-and-cooperation/forum

We here barter quite a bit.  Meat as you suggested is traded for labor sometimes.  We have pretty much opted out of the "game".

We work VERY hard in spring and summer.  There is always so much to do.  The winter is really a non-event.  Reading, blogging, learning...constant learning, cooking.

If you have a skill you could trade with a farmer...believe me most small farmer would be glad to trade.  For instance we would raise beef, pork, lamb and chicken for people such as yourself who can't here in NW area of Illinois.

Wolf,

Good to hear that you are from NW Illinois.  I am from souithern Wisconsin.  I build things (retired union carpenter), and now log and make firewood.  I also repair husky chainsaws.

I am also looking for a new place to live - hopefully rundown and/or big commmercial building that I can get reasonable.  I will heat with wood.  Even vacant land where I could put a used mobile home will work.  Any  help will be appriciated.

Moneyless business is the best business! I'm moving and just made a deal where on guy takes my stuff to a place where I rent apartments. He goes there with his family and stays some time in exchange for his service. No money involved, they win and I win.

Well, this sounds like a good ideal. What if you start a community like this and you all build there and live there.. People with different trades etc.. You could barter with neighbors etc for the things that you aren't raising or growing..

That's right. And moneyless business leaves no tracks. What's best it cuts out the parasites. You need a hundred families to collect a meaningful equity for purchasing land, can be an old farm or just land. Then you need to divide and build the land. There are several good points in this system. You can arrange your own school, cutting out the brain washing of your children. Such a community would have a close cooperation also in self defense and it would be hard to intimidate its members.

I have felt this way for a long time Less Prone. This would be a dream. If only there were the ability to do so without the government poking their heads in and mucking up the works. I know of a place that owns property and has about 30 people in the corporation, on very nice land with a lake. They are not producing anything to sell or eat but the land itself sustains wildlife such as razorbacks, deer, rabbit, ect. and the lake provides fish without any effort on their part.

It would be wonderful. To know that you can feed yourself and others around you is a great thing. My grandfather tried to join the military and was told "Go home, he was more valuable farming then he would be as a soldier. We need our farmers."

Your own school sounds great. "Home Schooling". Maybe it's time to start such a community. I also think the gov would poke there noses in, but maybe.. just maybe this is the TIME to do it.. With all the BS about them trying to take our 2nd amd. rights.. People are strarting to stand up to the gov.. And saying "no more" will we be ran over by our goverment.. Maybe it's time to take our stand and change the way our children are being raised through the school systems.. and go back to basics. and values. Were missing these today.

It would be hard to find a group of hard working people to do as they say. Like minded people are hard to come by.

Honesty would also be an issue, people don"t seem to mind pretending to be something they are not anymore.

Most people are lazy. How would the group deal with them?

So many issues to look at.But just talking about it sounds great though.

Since most people are not independently wealthy their would also have to be a few that worked outside the property to bring in the fiat money, until such a time it finally did collapse or things were well enough along as to bring in cash from off the land or crafts or animals.

The place I know of the people buying into the corporation have to put up front 25,000.00 $ to get in and then each person or family pays their share if anything on the property that needs to be dealt with. Equal shares, equal votes, equal responsibility. One share of stock in the corporation goes to each person/family buying into the corporation. If this person/family ever decide to leave the 25,000.00 $ is returned to the ones leaving and the corporation has first choice to buy the house, if they do not want to it then is put up for an outsider to buy in.

Through the years, I have been associated with several communes/co-ops, and in this culture (greed) they usually do not last.  What you consider hard working, may not be the same for someone else, or someone believes their time is more valuable than yours - example a lawyer's vs anybody else.  The Amish's do work, but that constrains innovation and progress.  I could not give up my splitter and chain saws and go back to an axe.  Cultures outside this country do work, and my Aunt in Hawaii in the 1940's and 1950's taught school there on the big island, on the other side of the mountain range and her house was always open.  People might come to see her, and if she wasn't home they might make a meal and leave.  There, if somebody catches a fish, the whole villiage can eat  fish that night.   In this culture/religion, that would not work.

If you ever do try, under title 26, Subtitle A, Chapter 1, Subchapter F, Part II, see special rules #508.  Don't be a #501(c)(3) entity, go to #508.  A church does not mean a brick and mortar building, original Christanity did not need a church building, but that changed in the western church, as well as the whole concept of what Christanity meant.   Have both elderly and young, because the elderly can take care of the kids, while the younger people can do the hard work, this worked well for the polynesians.  Kids usually can talk to their grandparents much better than their parents.   The grandparents can also collect social security, a source of fiat money.

People can and do  change their minds and want to do/try something else, so  they may want to leave.   Don't make them feel guilty.

Good luck.

its easier said than done, I realize that, but if we go back to the ways of our grandparents, than its much easier. Most of the problems lie in being too comfortable. We have to re-educate ourselves, and break old habits.

Man this really bites! (no pun intended, just worked out that way:)

No more rold gold pretzels-wahh!

In any case thank you so much for the list, I will send this to all I know and care about.
