The Tile App, the world's largest lost and found or the RFID in Disguise

I recently came across this new device.  It's coming from a crowd sourced startup that is marketing the device as a way to keep up with your keys.  It's called Tile, and essentially this is a one inch by one inch security tag that you can put anywhere that links with the iphone app to help you find your keys.  However, that's not the end of it.

As the video goes on to explain, Tile can be used on your bike, and if your bike gets stolen you'll get an alert on your iphone and using maps will actually guide you to it.  But that's not all...

Even if you don't come into proximity with your tile be it on a bike, in the trunk of your or someone else's car, inside someone else's backpack, sewn into a jacket, etc. if a member of the "Tile Community" (anyone with the app) comes into proximity to it, you'll immediately be notified through the network with the date, time and pinpointed location of that time via your iPhone.

My initial thought was, this a stalker's dream.  No more tailing, just wait for the alerts to come through and find exactly where a target has been and when.  I mentioned this to the folks at Tile via their Facebook page in a tongue and cheek manner.  This is what they had to say:

ME:  So what's to stop someone from surreptitiously planting a tile on you to stalk you?

TILE: Don't you think you would notice a matchbook-sized device on your skin?

ME: Yes on my skin, but not in one of the small pockets of my backpack or sewn into the liner of a jacket or fixed to the inside of a car with adhesive, or...

Unless their Facebook page is being edited, the only criticism is from Android users complaining that it only for iPhone.  Again this is a crowd sourced product and here at the stats at the time of this post:

49,543
backers
$2,679,023
of $20,000 goal
12
minutes left
13395% backed

It goes without saying this thing needs to brought to its knees it is simply a warm up to the RFID, it's to get people used to the idea of being tracked and tracking others.  If you feel the same way, I ask that you let them know it.

Very good info - thanks for sharing.  The tile App is very scary - we all need to say NO to this pre-empted RFID chip.

Thanks - I can't remember where I heard it said before, but I think it was Russo's film that talked about his friend ship with David Rockefeller.  Rockefeller said everyone will have an RFID chip and they will make everyone pay for it themselves.  I mean who would pay to be tagged and tracked?  Well, as long as they market it correctly, it actually isn't hard at all.  Of course many of us have known that cell phones were essentially tracking devices and we have that confirmed now, but the general public were not aware of it when phones were introduced into the market.  However, you have to be a blithering idiot if you can't see that the "Tile" is a tracking device and that a private company is setting up a grid to track them.

Add 5 of these to my spy-bag wishlist, along with a set of lockpicks and a drone.

Does this come in different colors, like invisible? If not, what about ingestible?

Nice, There is an another same device named Nut Find Tracker. I recommend that you must use Nut Find because Nut Find is Light, cheap, reliable, long-lasting battery, Doesn’t drain your phone’s battery, portable, nice looking, well-thought software and feature set, multiple Nuts can be connected to one device. For more information or buy this product visit: https://www.nutfind.com/

They're still going strong, lol, now there's different ones including personal ones for your person and pocketbook,etc....Fucking Brilliant!!
