SDO Captures Huge Solar Tornado Images

In a recently released report, a NASA satellite had managed to capture some never seen before images of a tornado whirling across the surface of the sun. The video was recorded by the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), a sun-watching satellite. There were slew of photos of solar flares in recent months captured by the same.

Such images were made possible only after the launch of SDO which has many cameras attached to capture such solar activities happening at different wavelengths and frequencies.
