According to ABC 30 KFSN-TV Fresno, a Madera pharmacy owner shot and killed one of two armed burglars yesterday that came into his pharmacy after hours and began firing. The owner of the pharmacy, Bryan Lee, said he had left the backdoor to the pharmacy open for a customer stopping by after-hours and that right after the customer left, two men in ski-masks barged through a back door and began firing.
Lee and his mother took cover behind the counter as the burglars opened fire. The mother was hit in the leg by one of the bullets. “It was not a robbery so much as an execution,” Lee said. “It was an attempted assassination, they didn’t make any demands, they simply came in, reached over, and it was basically shooting us almost in the back of the head. They shot my mother and almost shot me, I was just surrounded by holes.”
This is when Bryan Lee grabbed a gun he kept behind the counter and shot at one of the 2 suspects.
31-year-old Aquilla Bailey (pictured above) was shot the face, in the torso, and then once in the leg but then managed to escape out of the store and up the street before collapsing. Aquilla Bailey, a known gang member in the Fresno area, later died at the hospital. The other suspect was later apprehended by police.
