A massive winter storm is blowing through northern Alberta, affecting driving conditions on numerous highways.
The QE2, which stretches through Calgary and Edmonton, has become a virtual parking lot with a Leduc radio station tweeting that up to 60 cars are involved in a single accident near the Millet overpass to Wetaskiwin.
The Alberta Motor Association says travel is not recommended on QE2 roads and visibility is in poor condition due to the weather.
RCMP in Redcliff, Cypress County and Lac La Biche are also advising motorists to use extreme caution when driving due to blowing snow and icy conditions.
