I'm not residing in the US but this is not unique to the States, similar policy is being rolled out here in Australia and indeed all around the world.

I believe the cause of global warming is open to debate, probably a mixture of human influence and natural cycles both on planet and off. Even if human activities have nothing to do with it, I still believe in a need for moving to clean renewable energy sources for many important reasons.

Burning oil and coal at the rate that we do is deadly for our health. Remember Beijing Olympics, officials worked round the clock for months prior to improve air quality just enough as not to kill athletes stone dead with their huge lung volume capacities and all.

However taxing us to make the move, and big business crying poor and claiming it will cost jobs etc, is just excuses to bleed us even more. There has always been a few industries like oil and logging who have cried foul whenever it is suggested we make transitions from those practices into alternatives.

These claims are nothing more than propaganda to ensure ongoing obscene profits for those concerned. No other group of people, other than these large polluting corporations, are able to deny change when it comes. Computerization, machine automation, robotics are all displacing labor jobs constantly, it doesn't mean less jobs, it means people move on and become programmers instead of wood cutters.

We more than have the necessary technologies and capabilities at this point in time to migrate into renewable energies and additionally utilize efficient products and systems. And whats more, doing so can be quite profitable, all that is required is the demand for it. But people aren't demanding it because they are swallowing the fear put forward by Gooferment and Industry that the economy will hemorrhage and stop if we even think about it. It's just another in the endless string of lies we are fed to fuck us all over.

I refuse to pay any additional taxes or hikes on my monthly bill due to 'Cap & Trade.'

Congress just Declare a new Tax called Cap and Trade for climate change?

The traitors in Washington DC under the lies of Globull warming just declared a new money scheme for the criminals on Wall St.

Cap and trade bills are nothing short of a government re-engineering of the American economy. And S. 2191, with its aggressive targets to reduce emissions from fossil fuel use, would put the nation on a path of serious economic harm not justified by any benefits.

If you don't want to be paying 2-3 times more to heat your house this coming winter. I highly recommend you tell the your Senator to vote no on S. 2191. Don't be fool by the talk. The Congress bill was 1200 pages plus another 300 pages added. Anytime this much paper is put in a bill the average Americans trying to support his or her family loses. It time people stop falling for the lies that Government can fix problems. Our Government is an expert at wasting your tax dollars and ruining America with good intentions.

This is tyranny plain and simple with no regards to the continuation of the USA as we know it. If we let this ugly legislation succeed, it will put us all under so much government control, we won't know what to do next.

It is our duty and obligation to stop this now. Not only should we express our concern about this, we need to let them know we are going to kick their butts out.
