This Cake Baker Won At The Supreme Court. Now The State Is Trying To Get Revenge

Colorado is trying to compel the same baker who just won a Supreme Court case into baking a second cake that violates his religious beliefs.

Masterpiece Cakeshop’s Jack Phillips, who won a Supreme Court case in June, is once again being harangued by the Colorado Civil Rights Commission for refusing to bake a cake with a pro-LGBTQ message. Alliance Defending Freedom filed a federal lawsuit late Tuesday nightagainst the commission on his behalf, over the state’s second attempt to compel him to bake a cake with a message that violates his religious beliefs.

Two months ago, the Supreme Court ruled that Phillips ought not to have been forced to bake a cake with a pro-LGBT message for a same-sex couple’s wedding, because the court found that the commission was overtly hostile to the baker’s religious beliefs.

Now, the commission is once again going after Phillips, this time to compel him to bake a cake celebrating a “gender transition.”

This comment is for  Nazda Pokmov Do you know just how down right stupid you sound? This wasn't for a wedding this was for “gender transition.” Next time read the article or shut up because you sound like a very low IQ person!

It is like I have advocated before. He may "have to bake a cake". That does not automatically imply said cake would be good to eat, very attractive nor inexpensive. It could be hard, and dangerous to "force" an artist to do work they do not want to do.

This whole bake a cake for a faggot wedding has really gotten out of hand....What is the difference in a freaking cake?  He's not invited to the wedding and how could baking a cake be against his religious beliefs?  Had the faggot couple NOT told him it was for a faggot wedding....how would he have known unless they told him?   He could have had someone else do the message.  ENOUGH OF THE FAGGOT WEDDING CAKE CRAP ALREADY!!!  THIS IS WORSE THAN STUPID....IT'S BEYOND THAT!!!

Simple solution is to bake a cake of his liking.  He is free to charge what he wants and the couple will be obligated to pay or go someplace else.  $25,000 for such a special cake would make sense to me. It is the only way to fight.  He can be creative with how to display the couple.
