Police are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting near Wyoming and Zuni on Monday morning.
According to Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden, the incident began when an officer spotted an auto theft suspect running east on Zuni. The officer began to pursue the suspect on foot.
During the chase, Eden said the suspect turned around and pointed a gun at the officer. The officer then shot at the suspect.
Eden said the suspect is deceased.
The incident marks APD's third fatal police shooting of the year.

In the first shooting though, the cops shot that guy in the back. Doesnt matter that he may or may have not had a knife, he wasnt threatening them in any way, in fact, was telling them he would come down with them. They flat out murdered that man.
