Senior adviser to Donald Trump Kellyanne Conway said on Monday that the White House press corps, who she described as mocking the 45th president, "ought to think about what they're doing."
Tension between reporters and the newly positioned Trump administration erupted last weekend, when White House press secretary Sean Spicer accused media of trying to "lessen the enthusiasm" in covering attendance of Trump's inauguration.
In a Sunday interview with NBC News' Chuck Todd, Conway stated Spicer was offering "alternative facts" on the inauguration matter.
"If they snark, if they roll their eyes, if their Twitter feed is filled with 92 percent anti-Trump tweets, they're not being reporters, they're being opinion columnists," Conway told Hannity. "They're being professional political hacks and pundits, and we have a right to call that out."
