After governors in four states ordered mandatory 21-day monitoring of health care workers returning from West Africa, President Obama hurried to catch up with them.
The president on Sunday convened his public health and national security teams — to discuss “appropriate measures” to reduce the risk of additional domestic Ebola cases, the White House said. The Obama administration objects to the 21-day quarantines ordered by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn (D) over the weekend.
