I will say that my ex had a pit bull, named Baby. And it was, gentlest dog I ever knew. It liked cats (not for dinner). It would lay down next to them and take a nap. At one place she lived, there were ponds on the property. Ducks would hatch their eggs there. On one of those occasions, she laid a trail of bread crumbs into her apartment and over the dog's back. The ducklings, a long line of them, came in and climbed the dog's back, eating the bread as they went, and went back outside. The dog laid there placidly while she took pictures. She passed away of old age. That said, enough of them are vicious, especially against children, that the breed should be allowed to die out. I don't believe they should all be culled.
