Active shooter training exercises planned for Everett Mall

"Starting in January of 2017, Everett Police will begin a series of monthly scenarios to train officers for an active shooter situation at the Everett Mall. An active shooter is defined by the US Department of Homeland Security as an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area where there is no pattern or method to the selection of victims. These situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly which necessitate a quick and dynamic response from law enforcement."

In this event we were told that 8 shots were fired close range at students at one table. Massive head wounds were supposedly sustained. No expressions of shock were seen on the faces of any students. No blood was seen. EMTs did not rush in. They stayed out by the fire lane. A supposedly injured 14 year old had a clean, blood-free dressing around his head, his face smeared out of the photo. Another supposedly had a "ricochet" wound that looked to be painted on. There was a SWAT drill the same day at that exact location, which was 2 days after an Active Shooter drill at a neighboring school just a few miles away.
