***How to Avoid Duplicate Posts***
This guide applies to reposts, not original content. Please type (Original Content) in the title of your own writings and videos you have created. Any article or video that you repost to 12160 from another source may have been posted at an earlier time or date. Therefore, prior to posting, you must determine if the article or video has already been posted on 12160.
Duplicate content is bad for web sites. It is embarrassing, creates clutter and is bad for search engine optimization. Due to the way Google web spiders work, duplicate posts downgrade the site rating. You can help us build the site rating by being diligent and checking that your post is the first on the site so we are near the top of a Google search. Duplicate posts are easily avoidable, therefore please take a few seconds to do a search before you post.
Articles. Before reposting an article in a blog, forum, or group, type or paste the article title into the 12160 search engine, located in the upper right corner of every page, then hit Enter or click on the search icon. If you get search results, scroll through them to verify if it is the same article you want to post or some other post with similar keywords. If the article has already been posted, you may add comments to it but please do not post another copy of it.
Videos. Before reposting a video, type or paste the title into the video search engine, located on the left side of the All Videos page, then hit Enter or click on the search icon. If the video has already been posted, you may add comments to it but please do not post another copy of it.
Films/Documentaries. We have most films and documentaries already. Please use BOTH search engines before posting as some may have been posted in blogs or discussions rather than the video section.
Visual Search. In addition to using the search engines, it’s helpful to do a visual search of the section in which you want to post. Admin has noticed duplicates posted within hours or even minutes after the first post. This could have been avoided by simply looking through the most recent posts which are all date and time stamped.
12160 Admins reserve the right to delete duplicate posts without notice.
