This is a quick one and I do hope folks might take note of it. It is a comment I made at Douglas Ernst's and after looking at it maybe there was something in it that folks a little younger than myself might be able to use,

I just wanted to comment by making an observation, Douglas, your a smart man and hope you and your readers are old enough to appreciate this. If I were to have more children today and had a choice whether to bring them up in the United States, or to roll the clock back and bring them up in Tito's Yugoslavia, they would be shipped to the ex's family and Papa Tito. Like it or not for the average person America has become far more Oppressive and Authoritarian than any of Stalin Satellites. It is a sad but very true statement. Most folks today really have no concept of Freedom, Liberty or Responsibility. Slowly it has been traded away over just the last two generations, and very soon it might well be gone.
