For many years in the past people thought the Earth was flat! Then it was proven that the Earth wad round now they some people say its flat. The idea that the Earth was flat was typical of ancient Europeancosmologies until about the 4th century B.C., when Ancient Greek philosophers proposed that the Earth was asphere, or rounded.^[9] Among them, Aristotle proposed a spherical Earth in 330 B.C. By the early Middle Ages, it was widespread knowledge throughout Europe that the Earth was a sphere. 

Modern flat Earth societies, formerly represented by the International Flat Earth Research Society (IFERS), are present day organizations that propagate the idea, based on several passages in the Bible,^[1] and many experiments ^[2] that the Earth is flat instead of an oblate spheroid. This is usually regarded by mainstream media either as mockery of the original belief or as a form of denialism.
