Thank you for the interview. I can only speak from personal experience as a whistle blower. I reported crimes within my command that had already cost the US Military $6 million and continued security breaches taking place. I WAS SCREWED BIG TIME. Because I did not use the chain of command, oddly enough it was the chain of command that was breaking the law. They were fired and I was still screwed.
In another incident at a different command:
When the US Ticonderoga CG-47 used out dated chemicals stored improperly for urinalysis more than 40 sailors "popped positive" and were busted. However when the errors made in testing were found, NOTHING was done to restore those sailors to their previous positions nor clear their records of the travesty against them.

I consider Edward Snowden a hero doing the right thing against oppressive criminal government which has forsaken the US Constitution. Until America rids itself of all the criminal politicians in it's midst and returns all freedoms guaranteed by the constitution including the original 13th Amendment, (look up original 13th Amendment) America will never be free again.
