The pressurizing is done with CO2, but when he opens the valve connecting the CO2 tank and the fuel tank he says that AIR rushes into the tank pressurizing it. Be careful to not use pressurized air in stead of CO2 as propellant gas because when the fuel is finished the propellant gas enters the pipe and the flame thrower nozzle. In case you use air as propellant gas the whole equipment would blow up and kill you.
