Republican strategist Dee Dee Benkie revealed during a radio show appearance last night that the GOP establishment has resolved to prevent Ron Paul from winning tonight’s Iowa primary by offering sweetheart deals to move large voting blocks to vote for Romney or Santorum.

The host of the show refers to state GOP insiders showing “great concern” that Ron Paul is performing well in Iowa because they fear a Paul win would undermine Iowa’s position as being the first Republican primary. He implies that influential members of the Republican establishment within the state are offering sweetheart deals to prominent voting blocks in key swing districts in order to “sway” the result and ensure Ron Paul doesn’t win.

Despite the fact that this is brazenly unethical and, if bribery was involved, without doubt illegal, the host dismisses such conduct as “just politics”.

“Is it possible that the party apparatus here could be silently asking those District Chairmen to start swaying some important caucus members over to the anti-Paul side which may end up being Santorum…do you see a scenario like that happening,” he asked Benkie.

“I’ve talked to the party officials, I know they’re concerned about it,” said Benkie, adding, “Ron Paul doesn’t do us any good in Iowa, doesn’t do the country any good, will never get there, so let’s figure out what we need to do.”

Iowa Caucus 2012: GOP Establishment Steals Votes From Ron Paul, Voter Fraud? 1/2

Romney's winning votes go missing after chairman goes to bed

Missing votes from one of Iowa's caucus precincts and a top official who had retired to bed delayed Mitt Romney's wafer-thin victory in the early hours of yesterday.

At 1.15am, with almost every vote counted, Rick Santorum was judged to be narrowly ahead. But the 143 votes of the second precinct of the second ward of Clinton County were nowhere to be seen.

Reports that "a man in a truck" was still driving the missing ballots to a counting station were repeated live on several national television networks, before being denied by Republican officials.

As confusion reigned in campaign headquarters and in television studios, a behind-the-scenes search was underway for Edith Pfeffer, the Clinton Republican chairman who had gone to bed without a phone.

She was woken by Caroline Tallett, a fellow official, who pounded on her windows and rang her front door bell after receiving frantic calls from state officials and candidates' campaign staff.

"I thought, 'What in the world is going on?'" Mrs Pfeffer, 70, said yesterday.

Reached by telephone live on CNN soon afterwards, she was asked whether she could provide the totals.

"Oh... I haven't... God, I added them up," she said to widespread amazement. "I added them up a couple of times. Oh man".

She eventually confirmed 51 more votes for Mr Romney and 33 for Mr Santorum.

But there was further confusion as Mrs Pfeffer was told by the CNN anchor that her vote count was different to a figure provided by the state party.

"What do you mean they don't match up?!" she asked.

Eventually confirmed, the final figures pushed Mr Romney across the finish line in first place.

Mrs Pfeffer said that she was still not sure why the votes were not recorded at first attempt, but said it "some type of computer glitch" was probably responsible.

Santorum Voters Being Chased Into The Iowa Caucus By CNN and the rest of the MSM

... and then Anderson Cooper made a remark about how people were no doubt going to think the soldier that was interrupted was a conspiracy. All pundits on the show snickered like it was an absurd notion.

People are so blind.

Ron Paul has been attacked relentlessly the last week and a half by the MSM. So we'll settle for third. But, it is remarkable we have done so well despite the corporate media's disinformation campaign against freedom.

When are people going to realize that our election system is a scam, period.... end of story. Nothing is going to change until the whole corrupt system from which we live under is abolished and something new takes its place.

I watched, in horror the way the MSM whores on CNN once again were down playing Ron Paul and even when a long time serving military man was speaking about RP, all of a sudden, especially when he was talking about the Iran issue and Israel taking care of Israel.... the footage was mysteriously interrupted. It's all BULL SHIT!

Welcome to the machine....

Allowing early reporting of Bachmann failure and others the Iowa GOP shifted those votes to Santorum, to a lesser extent to Mitt.

It's funny they tell us who finishes first doesn't matter LOL, so good thing we finished 3rd.
