“When Seconds Count … The Police Are Only Minutes Away!”
An emergency 911 call recorded the 10 minute ordeal of a rural Okla. woman who shot and killed an intruder to her home while waiting for authorities to arrive.
Donna Jackson of Oklahoma calls 911 when she witnesses a man trying to get into her home by force. She is on the phone for nearly 20 MINUTES!!!! Finally the man breaks in and the cops are not there yet. So she defends herself with a shotgun.

So true, lol. But don't be surprised if they don't try to shake you down in some counties, they have quotas same as the big cities. If Boss Hogg pulls you over, don't tell him your from California!!!

I think you're better off in a small community like that, get to know the neighbors. But still there's corruption in these rural counties esp if the sheriff decides he doesn't like you.

The people are trying to hold on to tradition Greg but unfortunately that's also where some of the most corrupt counties in the country are. Be careful, they come on like friendly good ol boys but watch your back.

And in the northeast she would have gone to jail for sure. Growing up in Texas all the girls carried guns and we were taught by the cops that if we were forced to defend ourselves, then shoot to kill.
