Time to pass laws against HAMMERS ;)... 1 dead, 1 injured after fighting with hammers
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police are investigating the death of a Harrisburg man who was found seriously injured in his bed on the 1500 block of Vernon Street in Harrisburg this morning.
This is Harrisburg's second homicide in this week.
Police say they responded to the 1500 block of Vernon Street at 11:25 a.m. after receiving a call that two men were fighting with hammers.
Inside they found a 55-year-old man on the floor with stab wounds to his back. In a second floor bedroom they found 60-year-old Jose Vazquezmassive who was suffering from massive head trauma and injures.
Harrisburg Police Chief Pierre Ritter said he was bludgeoned to death.

My father was murdered by a hammer in 1987 in the Albany, California....by a crack cocaine addict who stole a $20K ring and sold it for $750 immediately and apparently bought and smoked crack during one night with his friends. He "plea bargained" to second degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 3.5 years prison time....and at that time prisoners did half time, so he actually did 1.75 years jail time for a gruesome, pre-meditated murder (they found a receipt for a new hammer bought the day before the murder in the guys house). I left the country shortly after that...but there was no talk of outlawing hammers that I recall! A happy Ex-Pat living in Asia for over 20 years!
