This happened on July 28, 2012. Almost a full year ago. This was murder. Chavis Carter was left handed. There is absolutely no way this 21 year old man would shoot himself, in the back of a patrol car, in the right temple, while cuffed and double-locked, right after calling his girlfriend to tell her that he would call her back from jail. The cops' official claim that Carter somehow "secreted the gun in the rear of the car after the pat-down but before the cuffing and second search" is bizarre. They killed him in cold blood.
