Wikileaks fallout lands on Paypal - (Original Article)

That the mainstream media has been raking Wikileaks and Julian Assange over the coals should be no secret to anyone by now. The heat is on and the rape charges previously laughed out of court are back. Both women bragged about sleeping with Assange afterward, hardly the expected behavior of rape victims. One of them has even been shown to have CIA ties.

This MSM campaign to discredit Wikileaks and Assange is now being met with a notable public backlash. For days it has been reported across the alternative internet news outlets that in the wake of Amazon dropping Wikileaks from it's hosting services hundreds of Wikileaks mirrors have been created by Wikileaks fans. This means that if the US government really wants to shut down Wikileaks it's likely going to have to shut down thousands of web sites distributed around the world, many quite outside of their jurisdiction.

Information on mirroring Wikileaks can be found here, and you can even mirror Wikileaks using your android phone.

The latest in public backlash actions , however, is a drive to boycott Paypal in response to Paypal freezing the Wikileaks Paypal account. Although Wikileaks is rumored to have some number of private donors who have deep pockets most of Wikileaks small private donations have been received through their Paypal account.

One of the driving forces behind the Paypal Boycott is the well known torrent site The Pirate Bay (TPB) and the Pirate Party. Already the TPB blog has over 600 comments with around 90% in favor of the boycott and pledging to join it.

The Pirate Bay names French actor and former footballer (that's soccer player to North Americans) Eric Cantona as it's inspiration for the call to Boycott Paypal. Cantona has called for a social revolution against the banks and encouraged customers of the major banks to withdraw their money on December 7, 2010 in order to protest the global financial crisis.

As a celebrity, Cantona is best known for winning four Premier League titles in five years, including two League and FA Cup Doubles with the UK football team Manchester United where he is credited with playing a major role in the club's revival and acheived iconic status in English football.

Even the forums at Paypal's own website is already stirring in revolt with ten pages worth of customers promising to close their accounts in response to Paypal freezing the Wikileaks account.

"Hmmm, you may be right fireguy but it's still gotta be better than prancing around with a placard inside a free speech zone dog cage."

Try everything once I always say.  But I think they will  just keep doing what they been doing. At least they are predictable.  And as Gordan Grahm says "Predictable is Preventable".

Hey Cantona, listen up soccer boy:

The banks have trillions of dollars of digital money deposited by the tax payers of the world. If you take your "money" out "THE BEN BERNANK" and his counterparts around the globe will just put fill up the coffers again using their keyboards and call it "Too Big To Fail" or "Quantitative Easing" and the Central Bankers don't use Vasilene.

That is the beauty of fiat digital currency, a run on the banks means nothing to them, because they don't have anything backing the Mono-Ploy Money notes except 0's and 1's.

I think Wikileaks is a psyop, probably the biggest one ever only second to 911; Of course the leaks give official confirmation to many of our concerns, but that´s what really good disinfo does ("the devil will tell you a thousands truths, to have you believe one lie"). Why aren´t they releasing that info about a "very important financial institution" just now? the reasons they give about this are weak in my opinion.
The Assange role in all this could perfectly being a patsy or an actor, I dont know, but I honestly think were he be the holder of all that info the mainstream media is telling us he is, I think he´d be suicided long ago

Indeed Kim, and thanks. Some people probably don't like the fact that I didn't pan Wikileaks for being government shills but I decided to go with a mostly unbiased and fact based article rather than an op-ed on this go around.

It's good to do both at least once in awhile I think.
