How would you go about making an underground bunker?
I want to shell out a part of my front and back yard to make a good underground bunker. I'll also hook it up to my basement. I want to be prepared for the worst. I know it would be expensive but I'm well off and am willing to sacrifice a good deal of money on something like this. Does anyone know how you would go about making this and what supplies would be good to store for a small family during a disaster. Also, how would I get oxygen in it?

It's not that hard to find acouple of plans off the net, same goes for filtration systems that can be pumped manualy if eletrical fails. one of the main thing with filtration of outside air are the presure shut off vales.
I'm not to familiar about it but after the initial blast it deals with the presure issue off the blow by.

Having a bunker is cool and probably smart but ( I hate this part), you still have to breath air....sorry friend, the air is now radioactive. I'm sure the elites have expensive air filteration systems for their massive bunkers. Sadly, most of us can not afford this expensive equipment.
